Inspired by the fiery arctic treasures from Greenland Ruby, the LoveFire collection transforms the oldest rubies and sapphires on earth into beautiful jewelry designs for every occasion.

Greenlandic rubies and sapphires are believed to be the oldest gems in the world. This pristine arctic location in Southwest Greenland is named Aappaluttoq [Ah-puh-lu-tok], meaning RED, after the ruby-bearing rock so clearly seen by locals inhabiting the area over thousands of years. These icy gems have been hidden in a rock formation geologists believe to be nearly 3 billion years old. Each gem is unique and tells the story of its journey through time and temperature.

Each gem is tracked and traced from the mine and comes with a Card of Authenticity which is approved by the government of Greenland.

This program is made possible through Greenland Ruby’s customized inventory system.

While the rubies and sapphires from Greenland are chemically similar to gems found in other locations, they are distinctly different, and gem laboratories can easily identify them as Greenlandic. Each Gem has a unique fingerprint, their composition and inclusions telling of an ageless journey through time and temperature.
